A uniquely located hotel and spa, slap
bang in the middle of the Royal Crescent. Elegance

The Royal Crescent is a favourite with Liz Cox

Bombay
Nights
www.bombaynightsbath.co.uk
Whether it’s because of, or in
spite of the unprepossessing location, this Indian
restaurant is a very pleasant surprise. The menu
carries a few standards, but it is the unusual,
rarely-seen dishes from Northern India and Nepal
that inspire. Once you’ve eaten here you
will want to follow in the footsteps of a once-famous
Boy Band and send a helicopter for the ultimate
take away…. |

website offers online shopping with overnight
delivery. Note how we avoided any references to
the Monty Python Cheese Shop sketch. Almost. |

Westonbirt
- The National Arboretum
www.forestry.gov.uk/westonbirt
Created in the 1820’s as that fashionable
must-have of the Regency era, a formal pleasure
garden for Robert Holford; Westonbirt is now the
National Arboretum. Many of the trees originally
planted in the 1820’s, or gathered by intrepid
Victorian plant hunters, still stand. A fantastically
beautiful spot, perfect to visit on a sunny day
when city activities simply won’t do. |
